Department of Computer Science & Engineering

About Department

Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science. The Department of Computer Science commenced its operations with an intake of 60 students which has now increased to 120.
The driving mission for the department is to advance the frontiers of research in computer science and automation and impart world-class training to students. The Faculties contribute to cutting-edge research in several areas of computer science and are actively engaged in various interdisciplinary projects. Department faculty members have received many awards in recognition of their excellence in research.
The Department imparts world class training and research.  The Department provides computing facilities to the students.  It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services.
Some of the major research areas in which the faculty members and students working on are Networks, Database, Theoretical Computer Science, Multimedia, Image Processing, Software Engineering and Data Mining.
On the research front, our faculty, staff, and students are exploring innovative ideas in areas that range from mobile computing through text analysis; from ways to program computers through ways to build them; and from fundamental principles of logic and discrete mathematics.
The Department is also planning to setup various PG Programmes shortly.

Future Of Computer science Department

The work processes of computer scientists are like those of natural scientists, and students learn the process of science in computing easily when working with the physical world. Computing taught as a science introduce computing as a powerful tool for supporting thinking. The department is working for the following programs:

• The department plans to organize a Technical Event every year with paper presentations and    various technical activities
• The department invite Guest lectures and Expert lectures for students from local and outside experts.
• The department organises technical workshops where the students will learn various networking activities.
• The department plans to organize extra lectures for weak students.
• The department will organize some social activities as a part of social service to the nation.
