Department of Electronics & Communication
“The wood are lovely dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”
…. And so goes the story of one of the most happening and performing field of engineering ie. Electronics & communication branch. The department of EC & engineering has been an integral part of TIT (Excellence) right from inception of the college. Our department has an intake of 120 students every year. Excellence in teaching is the hallmark of this department and is reflected in the success of students result.
The Department of Electronics & Communication started with an intake of 60. The department has grown-up considerably and has become a role-model to set the bench mark.
The Department association Best provides a Best platform for students’ initiative to learn various hard and soft skills. The students are encouraged to present papers and participate in the inter-collegiate quiz, Seminars and symposium. A set of dedicated, talented, well qualified and experienced team of faculty leads the department to the front. Experts from IIT/NIT/R&D Labs/industry are regularly invited for conducting guest lecturers /value aided courses .The aim of conducting these courses is to update the knowledge of all the concerned in the advanced technological area. This is helping us in developing good interaction with industry and research and development laboratories of national repute.
Most faculty members in the department are involved in research activities.

Head of EC Dept.
Department of Electronics & Communication is an integral part of the T.I.T. (Excellence). Excellence in teaching is the hallmark of department. It was established with a vision and efforts of faculty. It is developed as a family and follow the “Never Give Up” strategy. It has followed a completely distinctive path of providing young, dynamic approach engineers that are global in attitude and can fit in any industry and research area.
The department ensures and takes care of every aspect and is given credit that is due for some clearly visible strategies. Moreover, department’s objectives have been honestly pursued and
effectiveness has been achieved by the resources currently available.
It has, by and large established itself as a satisfied vendor of human capital to the world class employers and other stake holders.
Last but not the least the i wish to ensure that the would be Electronics engineer will be able to carried out niche for theProfelves, facing all the real life challenge.
I wish all the students a bright and successful carrier ahead.

Laboratories in Electronincs and Communication Department
Major labs![]() |
1.Electronics Devices and Circuits Lab This Lab includes Electronics Circuit, Electronics Devices and Design Laboratory. This Lab consists of all types of measuring instruments and cathode ray oscilloscope, Power Supply, Multimeters, function generators and various types of Experiment Kits. This Laboratory is specially designed to enhance the capabilities of the students for designing basic analog circuits like oscillators, multivibrators, amplifiers, drivers etc. |
The experiments in this laboratory enable the students’ to gather basic knowledge on communication systems. Here they can perform different experiments which are the fundamental blocks of any communication system used now-a-days. The experiments include study of AM, FM, ASK, FSK, PSK, PAM, PWM, TDM, FDM etc. They also learn how to design Analog to Digital Converter, Digital to Analog Converter. Advance Communication Lab Comprises of Data Communication Trainer, LAN Trainer, Advance controller network trainer, PDLA Software, ISDN training system, CDMA trainer.
3. Digital Circuits Lab
Introduction to the vast world of digital electronics is given in this laboratory. It can support different experiments using discrete components and ICs, which are commonly used in industries and laboratories.
| 4. Microprocessor systems Lab Microprocessor Systems Laboratory is well equipped to do all experiments in 8085 and 8086. 8051 microcontroller trainers and EPROM programmer are provided for carrying out projects. In this laboratory students get their first exposure on the programming of basic microprocessor like 8085. They also perform different application programming such as interfacing many peripheral elements like display, Stepper motor controller etc. A huge scope of project work lies in this laboratory. |
