Students of fourth semester visited Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal. which is the nodal institute in India conducting research and development to facilitate agricultural mechanization, conserve soil and water through land development and efficient use of irrigation and drainage equipment, post-harvest and value addition of agricultural produce, agricultural waste and efficient utilization of renewable and non-renewable sources of energy in agriculture, information dissemination in technology through training, demonstration and prototype production and supply. Students visited various divisions and centres like Agricultural Mechanization, Agricultural Energy and Power, Agro Processing, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Transfer of Technology, Soybean Processing and Utilization, Renewable Energy Center .Students also got information about Bio-gas plant, Solar collector etc.

Central Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute, Budni

Student visited Central Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute, Budni, Govt.of India on 26.4.2010 to gain practical knowledge of Farm Machinery and Equipment. Objective of this institute is to help farmers, technicians, engineering students, extension workers etc. in the selection, operation, repair, maintenance & management of farm machinery. Students got information about the functional suitability and performance characteristics of Tractors, Power Tillers, Combine Harvesters and other agricultural machines in accordance with National / OECD standards. Students visited different testing laboratories like Computerized PTO test set-up with Thermo Controlled chamber, Engine Test set-up, Drawbar Test Load vehicle, Hydraulic Power Test set-up, Water Proof test set-up, Air cleaner oil pull over test set-up, Brake test set-up, Noise & vibration test set-up, Centre of gravity (CG) test set-up. By visiting these laboratories, Students got knowledge about working of various test equipments and various test standards.Students visited Engine Testing laboratories to understand working of different dynamometres like Eddy current dynamometer, Eddy Current Dynamometer, Hydraulic Dynamometer, Eddy current Dynamometer, A.C. Absorption Dynamometer.

GEI Industrial Systems

Students of sixth semester visited GEI INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS Limited, Bhopal. GEI is a leader in Heat Transfer Technology, specializing in the design, manufacture, fabrication, erection, commissioning and maintenance of air cooled heat exchangers and steam condensers for the oil, gas and power industries. GEI offers products for major installations like Power Plant, Petroleum refineries, LNG terminals, Petrochemical and chemical plants, Oil and gas fields, Off shore gas processing platforms, CNG filling station, Electrical locomotives, Fertilizer plants, Metallurgical industry, Cement plants, Power utilizing equipments .Students visited various divisions like Design, Quality Control and Manufacturing. Students got detailed knowledge of design of thermal equipment like Turbine, Condenser, Cooling Water Module and Air Heaters etc.
