Department of Mechanical Engineering

About Department

Viewing the demand for Core sector professional`s era of rapid industrialization, our our management decided to introduce Bachelor’s degree course in Mechanical Engineering at TIT (Excellence). The department of Mechanical Engineering has been in developing & prosperous stage since beginning. As on date around 180 students are studying in Mechanical Engineering.
Department is privileged to have Faculties with consistently good academic record with wide range of qualifications like Masters in Thermal, Production, Design, Automobiles, Refregetration and Air conditioning etc. Some faculty members are also pursuing their doctorial work under reputed guides. Most of the faculty members have published their research papers in National & International magazines. Over all job experiences of most of the faculty members is varying from plus 10 to 44 years.
The students have best examination results compared to other Engineering colleges of Bhopal. One of the students of BE sixth semester Prof. Neeraj Choudhari stood first among all the branches of TIT Group in second year with 81% marks.
Mechanical Engineering has a very bright future. Our faculty’s moto is to build-up strong character, hard working capacity, sincerity, self dependency, dedication to studies, society & as well to Nation among students. Along with their studies, they also participate and organize the seminars, workshops, debates, Group Discussions and visits to Industries. This year our students visited Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal; Tractor Testing Centre, Budni; GEI and Hamon industries, Bhopal. They arranged lectures of dignitaries from different industries of Bhopal. Our prefinal year students prepared important projects, some of which are (i) 8 faces Ceiling Cooler, (ii) Power Generation by using the condensate water from cooling tower in Thermal Power Plant & (3) Design & Development of Soybean Grain Collection machine.
Our laboratories are continuously in developing stage as per the syllabus of RGPV, Bhopal. Our library has good stock of technical books & magazines. We have been trying & paying attention to Research work and developing the rational thinking among our students.
Beside this, our students also spare time in playing & participating in tournaments. This year, they organized Cricket tournaments. Our students also celebrated with the disabled children on 14th April,2010 at Disabled Children’s Home, Ashoka Garden Bhopal, before the college events started. In technical events, students organized many programmes the details of which are given separately.
