Dr. A. Balasubramaniam, Director of the institute has completed his M.Pharm from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi in the year 1995 and Ph.D in pharmacy from Shri Ramchandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai in the year 1999. He is having 16 years of teaching, research and industrial experience. He has got 14 research publications in international and national journals of repute. He has supervised 27 M.Pharm projects and has a number of Ph.D candidates registered under his supervision.

He is highly focussed on research. His areas of research include novel drug delivery systems, anti cancer therapy and drugs of herbal origin. He is also working on many research projects funded by the Government funding agencies and industries
