He has been an eminent scientist of Govt. of India and former Principal Scientist, Head of Division and Director (acting) of National Institute of Research on Jute & Allied Fibre Technology, Kolkata under ICAR. He is a B.Tech. of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, M.Tech and PhD in Industrial Engineering & Management from IIT, Kharagpur.

He scored 100% in mathematics right from primary school board till M.Tech. & bagged merit Scholarships at various levels.

He was awarded Gold Medal by Institution of Engineers from the Production Management Division. He has brought out 22 training manuals on design, manufacturing, testing, evaluation and operation management.

He has published, presented and prepared 80 reports in various disciplines of Engineering including industrial Engineering & Management and Textile Engineering.
